Job Summary

As an Account Manager at Lindström, you will be responsible for managing and developing an assigned portfolio of customers, with a focus on building long-term relationships, delivering a strong customer experience and driving profitable business growth.

Understanding customers' businesses, requirements and future needs, and work closely with internal teams to deliver relevant solutions. The role combines customer relationship management, account development, commercial management and customer retention, with a clear focus on adding value and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Manage and develop an assigned portfolio of customers in line with business and customer objectives.
  • Build trust through long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Develop a good understanding of customers' businesses, processes, requirements and future priorities.
  • Ensure regular engagement with customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

2. Business Growth

  • Identify and develop opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling across the customer portfolio.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend relevant Lindström products, services and solutions.
  • Develop account plans to drive revenue growth and improve portfolio profitability.
  • Proactively identify opportunities arising from changing customer needs and market developments.

3. Customer Retention & Service Excellence

  • Higher customer engagement and drive long-term customer retention.
  • Proactively identify customer concerns and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
  • Work closely with Operations and Service teams to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.

4. Commercial & Contract Management

  • Manage contract renewals, price revisions and other contractual activities for the assigned portfolio.
  • Lead customer discussions related to commercial proposals, renewals and account-related matters.
  • Monitor account performance, revenue and profitability and take appropriate actions where required.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of commercial commitments and opportunities.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Service and other relevant teams to address customer requirements.
  • Coordinate across functions to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience.  

6. Data, CRM & Market Insights

  • Use customer and sales data to monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Track relevant measures such as revenue, profitability, retention, customer satisfaction and sales effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, activities and opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Develop awareness of market, industry and competitive developments relevant to the customer portfolio.

7. Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Oversee the operational delivery for assigned customers, ensuring agreed service standards, quality and timelines are consistently achieved.
  • Coordinate the team supporting the assigned customer portfolio, ensuring clear priorities, accountability and effective execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality and customer experience.
  • Proactively manage customer issues and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Account Management, Key Account Management, Customer Success, Relationship Management or Sales.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer locations and work from customer sites as required by the role.
  • Experience managing and developing an existing customer portfolio.
  • Experience in customer retention, revenue growth, up-selling, cross-selling or contract renewals.
  • Experience with CRM systems and working with customer or sales data.
  • Exposure to commercial discussions or negotiations would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the relevant market or industry would be an advantage.
