Purpose of the Role
To maintain and improve plant equipment reliability through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted operations, safety compliance, utility availability, and continuous support to production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Monitor washers, dryers, compressors, pumps, and utility systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports
- Monitor alarms and environmental conditions.
- Manage spare parts inventory and critical spares availability.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, EHS, and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Safety, and EHS requirements.
- Support equipment installation, qualification, and validation activities.
- Participate in audits and implement CAPA actions.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and maintenance standards
- Coordinate contractor and AMC maintenance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of electrical & mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Preferred
- Experience in Pharma, Manufacturing, FMCG, or laundry industry.
- Knowledge of GMP, EHS, and audit requirements.
- Experience in utility equipment and spare parts management.
- Knowledge of RCA, CAPA, and vendor management
