Job Summary

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for driving new business acquisition and revenue growth within the assigned territory. This role requires a strong focus on direct B2B sales, customer engagement, and market development, along with the ability to build long-term relationships and identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Business Acquisition

  • Identify and target potential B2B customers within the assigned geography
  • Generate and qualify leads through market mapping, networking, and industry engagement
  • Drive end-to-end sales cycle including prospecting, client meetings, solution presentations, and deal closure
  • Consistently achieve and exceed defined sales targets

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Plant Managers, Procurement Heads, and Business Owners
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution
  • Strengthen client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships

3. Account Growth & Retention

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across existing accounts
  • Drive account expansion by understanding customer needs and aligning solutions accordingly
  • Monitor customer health and take proactive actions to ensure retention

4. Market Intelligence & Business Insights

  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer expectations, and competitor activities
  • Gather and share market insights to support product, pricing, and service improvements
  • Contribute to identifying new market opportunities and business segments

5. Sales Planning & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM systems
  • Track performance against targets and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure discipline in sales processes and reporting standards

 

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B / corporate sales
  • Sales Capability: Proven track record in lead generation, direct sales, and deal closure
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with senior decision-makers
  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Tools & Systems: Working knowledge of CRM platforms, MS Office, and digital sales tools
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively for business development

  • Maintains strong control over sales pipeline, follow-ups, and closures
  • Demonstrates consistency in achieving targets and meeting deadlines

  • Stays updated on industry trends, competition, and customer expectations
  • Adapts sales approach based on market dynamics
